The 21st Day morning

After the disastrous night of Day 20… we didn’t sleep at all.

Not even for a moment.

We were just waiting… waiting for the morning.

Hoping that maybe, when the sun rises, things would make sense.

Or maybe… we’d finally see what actually happened in the night.

Somewhere deep inside, there was also fear.

The village is close to the river…

and a thought kept repeating in my mind:

“What if everything is gone?”

Waiting for Light

At around 5 AM, we stepped outside.

It was still dark.

Silent. Uncertain.

We just sat there… waiting for a little light so we could finally see the reality.

After almost half an hour, around 5:30…

the darkness slowly started fading.

And what we saw next…

shook me completely.

The Scene I Wasn’t Ready For

The entire air looked red.

The river water… was red too.

It felt unreal. Like something out of a nightmare.

The river had carved a straight path —

and everything that came in its way…

was gone.

Houses nearby?

Swept away.

Everything.

When I Saw the Village

The moment I looked towards the village…

I froze.

It didn’t look the same anymore.

There was a canal where there wasn’t supposed to be one.

The water had risen almost 50 feet above its normal level.

Seven cars.

Seven bikes.

All gone.

One of them… was mine.

Moving Down to Help

As the light increased, all of us from the village moved down towards the lower areas.

The water level was still high.

People needed help.

Belongings had to be saved.

But when we reached there…

the real damage became clear.

Our vehicles were missing.

Homes were destroyed.

People were in shock.

We tried pulling out whatever we could from a few houses…

but honestly, it felt like nothing was enough.

The Thought That Broke Me

Standing there, looking at everything…

one thought hit me hard:

“Everything is over.”

Not just the loss around me…

but also my own journey.

My brand building.

My work.

Everything I was trying to build.

It all felt meaningless in that moment.

The Last Video (Or So I Thought)

I recorded one last video for my brand building journey.

A simple talking-head video.

No edits.

No background music.

Just me… explaining everything that happened.

And I said it clearly:

“Maybe this is my last video.”

There was no electricity.

My phone battery was almost dead.

So I sent the video to my friend and told him:

“Upload this for me.”

And then… I went back to help people in my village.

Holding It Together… Until I Couldn’t

As long as I was with everyone,

I stayed strong.

Focused. Active. Distracted.

But when I finally reached home…

and I was alone…

I broke down.

I cried a lot.

Because that car…

I bought it with my own hard-earned money.

And just like that… it was gone.

The Unexpected Twist

By evening, my phone died.

Meanwhile, my friend uploaded the video.

The next morning, I went to the market to charge my phone.

And when I opened Instagram…

I couldn’t believe what I saw.

The video had blown up.

Where I used to get barely 1,000 views…

this one had crossed 8–9K views.

The Realization

In that moment, something became very clear to me:

People don’t connect with perfection.

They connect with reality.

Not fancy edits.

Not background music.

Just truth.

Just raw moments.

Just real stories.

A Shift in Mindset

That one video changed something inside me.

From that day…

I decided:

I’m not going to chase perfection anymore.

I’m going to show reality.

Sometimes, you lose everything…

just to understand what actually matters.
